About Joel

Joel Thames is a licensed attorney and had been an attorney since 1984 when he was admitted to the Georgia Bar. Joel became a registered mediator with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution in 2016 and has mediated hundreds of cases in the Northwest Georgia area over the last 5 years.

Joel recently retired from the practice of law and now concentrates entirely on mediation.

Joel primarily handles domestic relations type cases (i.e. divorce, child custody, child support, division of assets and debts, etc.) Joel also handles estate disputes, personal injury, and business disputes in his mediation practice. Joel's goal in every mediation is to help the parties reach a fair and equitable resolution of the issues involved in their case.
